With more than 5,000 customers in Europe, KRAHN Chemie has established a wide network of industries in the chemicals sector. Their aspiration is to facilitate sustainable production for their customers, helping them become zero-waste and procure their input sustainably. KRAHN’s business does not impact Climate Change severely in a direct way, however, their outsourced logistics operations is probably the highest impact category. Transportation emissions belong to scope 3 (supply chain) emissions, and they need to influence their stakeholders to cause change. KRAHN believes a tool that calculates emissions during the order placement of their products could inspire their customers. At the same time, it could allow them to initiate discussions with both ends of their supply chain.
